La Eskina Gastronomía Mexicana | Our Story
La Eskina: the corner that feels like home
La Eskina — "The Corner" — was born from a family's dream to share authentic Mexican recipes with Rhode Island, right here on Laurel Hill Avenue in Cranston.
A family dream in Cranston
La Eskina is owned and run by the same family who made these recipes at home for years. Bringing them here meant this little corner of Cranston could feed a whole community.
Recipes passed down through generations
Every dish on the menu carries a history — from our signature birria to handmade tamales prepared the way they always have been. We don't reinvent the recipes; we protect them.
Welcome to our table
Our owner personally greets every guest who walks through the door, because that's just how family does it. When you sit down here, you're not a customer — you're company.
Inside La Eskina
The room is small, colorful, and full of personality — luchador mask paintings on the walls, a full bar stocked for a proper margarita, and a "Bienvenidos Amigos" sign that means exactly what it says. Pull up a chair.
